Would I notice if I cut the pill in half or just weaned off slowly , would it be a placebo effect for ocd or anxiety , reasons for wanted to quit are because of the sexual side effects.

taking half the dose is not like taking a placebo. A placebo should in theory have no physiological effects on your body, and thus any response either behaviorally or internally must be brought on by the condition of the patient.
Their is a theroy of medicine that you are to take a infinite tiny concentration of certain drugs to treat diseases. This is know as hollistic medicine.
If you are trying to ween, which is smart to prevent any serious side effects from drug withdrawl. as for would it still work for your OCD or anxieity, i would say for the time being yes, an that is because these types of drugs have extremely high half lives (50-80 hours) and so they lingre in the body for some time. You will have a max effective concentration for probably a week.
But as you ween you will eventually start rebounding from the drug and see a decrease in the sexual side effects.
Your symptoms may come back in full force for a little as well. But should subside down back to baseline.
definitly cut your dose in half every 2 or 3 days to ween until you are about 4 half lives in till you stop…. meaning do this for about a week and a half or so.
