I took Lexapro 20mg for a few months, but just found out I am pregnant. So, of course I quit cold turkey. My head feels like it is swimming and I am dizzy most of the day. I know this is a normal side effect, but it is HORRIBLE since it is mixed with morning sickness! So, any idea how long it will last?

i was on it for like 4 years and just stopped taking it lately i still have the dizziness and the swimming feeling its been over 4 weeks and im still feeling effects, i think you will be ok soon, due to the short time you were on it.i get that odd sensation like when you look at something than turn your head to fast to the side that time warpish thing but its fading a bit each day , hang in there you will be fine soon

Wow – I really feel for you! I did that once, and the withdrawals are really very horrible!! If you just quit you have four to six weeks of withdrawals coming. The only good news is after a couple weeks or so, they’ll get less in intensity and frequency.

I hated the “brain zaps” the worse.

I hope you did that with your doctor’s knowledge.
